Dear friends and family,
Firstly, if you are new to the list, WELCOME :D. If you are interested, click here to view previous mailings.
Last week when I was at my gym, I couldn’t figure out why there were so many people suddenly.
And then it hit me; we are in the month of ‘January’ of 2017.
To be honest with you, I am not a believer of the ‘New Year, New Me’ saying. I haven’t been able to change my life overnight- I can only work towards making tiny little changes on a day to day basis, that add up in the long run. The 1st of January doesn’t make it happen unless YOU are ready to put in the effort.
Having said that, Happy New Year! May you have a great year filled with immense happiness, make everlasting memories with loved ones, stay in good health and achieve greater heights of success.
It’s 2017, and boy oh boy where do I begin. I have not had the time to just sit down and process all that is happening around me. After the Health Tech Conference in Boston end of last year, there was another week-long business trip, followed by my brother’s wedding ceremonies in two different countries for over 2 weeks, and then I came back to Ottawa about a week ago and will be leaving very soon again.
Where to? You’ll find out in a minute.
There is a lot to be done before leaving though; we are trying to secure our financing, hire a developer and a marketer (if you or anyone you know are interested, let us know!) as well as strategize our action plans to be able to launch in the next few months.
We are meeting with a few paediatricians in Ottawa this coming week to get more feedback on our prototype. I was also interviewed by a journalist here in Ottawa.

And finally for the ‘big news’, DOT is moving to Texas as of February.
At the Health Tech Conference in Boston, DOT won guaranteed entrance into the Texas Medical Center Accelerator!
You can watch a quick summary of the event here.
We will be working at TMCx to strengthen ties with experts in the industry, increase our traction with customers in the US and most importantly, develop and launch the product.
The year is already racing past me and I am trying hard to keep up.
Would I have it any other way? Not a chance.
